What Your Poop Says About Your Health
You might be overlooking a key health indicator: your poop. While it’s not exactly a popular topic at dinner, it tells us a lot about our health.
You might be overlooking a key health indicator: your poop. While it’s not exactly a popular topic at dinner, it tells us a lot about our health. It’s simply a part of how our bodies work. By listening to our bodies and making small changes, we can greatly improve how we feel and function.
Your bowel movements can show if you need to change your diet, drink more water, or see a doctor. Small changes can lead to a healthier gut. They improve nutrient absorption and strengthen gut bacteria, which can make you feel and look your best.
Diet issues that disrupt your digestion can affect muscles nearby. Fixing your gut can also solve these muscle imbalances! If your gut is inflamed, your core muscles may not work right. This causes your hip flexors and lower back to overcompensate, creating muscle imbalances. Next week, I’ll explain more about how improving your gut health can balance your body’s muscles.
My mentor, Paul Chek, created the "poopie line-up." It is a fun way to help people, including kids, spot signs of not drinking enough water, having digestion problems, or body toxins.
Meet the Poopie Policeman and the unique lineup. The characters, from right to left, are: 'The Flasher,' 'Diarrhea,' 'Pellet Man,' 'The Bodybuilder,' 'Olympic Swimmer,' and 'Mr. Sinker 'n' Stinker.'' Each one represents a different type of bowel movement.
The Poopie Policeman: Signifies a healthy bowel movement. This type has a good shape, consistent texture, is quick to pass, has a light brown color, a natural smell, and floats and flushes easily.
The Flasher: is characterized by undigested food particles. They show potential food intolerances or an inflamed system.
Diarrhea: Acts as the body's emergency detox method. Even in cases of constipation and dehydration, the body will find water to flush out toxins.
Pellet Man: Looks similar to rabbit or sheep droppings, suggesting issues with the colon's movement or dehydration.
The Bodybuilder: is typically larger and harder to pass than a healthy bowel movement. It often comes from a diet high in dehydrated and processed foods, like protein bars and shakes.
Olympic Swimmer: This type is lighter and hard to flush. It has high fat, which could point to a bile deficiency needed to break down fat.
Mr. Sinker 'n' Stinker: They are caused by eating processed foods, living in a toxic place, or using certain drugs. It's a sign that your body might benefit from detoxification.
It might seem odd at first. But, watching your poop gives vital clues about your body. Your bowel movements can tell you a lot about your digestion, organ health, and the balance of gut bacteria. Watching your poop is a great way to see how even small diet changes benefit your gut. It can guide you toward better health.
The Digestive Issues I Commonly See
The digestive problems I encounter most often boil down to a couple of things: either there's not enough stomach acid or digestive enzymes, or there's a yeast issue, specifically Candida. The best approach to tackle these is to start at the beginning.
You can't get rid of Candida if your stomach acid is low or you're short on digestive enzymes.
Why? Because this scenario leads to undigested food, which then becomes a feast for Candida.
Other factors like stress, blood sugar imbalances, and food intolerances can also contribute to fungal infections. But it's different for everyone. A good starting point is to increase your intake of digestive enzymes. Try this for a week and see if your energy levels improve, if you feel more satisfied after eating, and if your bowel movements start looking healthier.
Over my eight years of coaching, I've encountered various digestive enzymes, but Mass Enzymes tops the list. Wade Lightheart, a close associate of Paul Chek, offers what I believe are the best enzymes available. Wade stands behind his product with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, offering a full refund if you don't see the desired results. His commitment is clearly stated on his website.
” If you purchase 1 bottle and you are not completely satisfied, within 365 days you may request a full refund (minus shipping & handling cost).
